Not Exactly Nailing It!

We’ve all seen a beautifully decorated cake and thought, “how hard could it be”? And while there are plenty of baking shows that have experts to show you exactly how difficult it is, Nailed It! isn’t one of them. The folks at Daily Meal observed, “Luckily, however, one reality show is here to show that perfect cake culture is still not as universal as the internet might lead us to believe" in their 11 of the Biggest Fails on Nailed It post on July 25, 2023.

The article showcases eleven of the biggest fails on Nailed It! Each episode has a challenge given by hosts Jacques Torres and Nicole Byer with a perfect example of what they’re looking for. Thankfully, for us, no one is very good at copying the original. From a Neanderthal fail that prompted Jacques Torres to ask, “is it jaundice?” to an apple cake that made Nicole Byer declare, “Well, I appreciate you not serving us an uncooked cupcake. That’s great.”

Included in the post are pictures of these “creations” so you can see all the hilarious details for yourself. And then check out all seven seasons of Nailed It! on Netflix. It’s the perfect series to binge for the whole family. You might feel a little better about your own cake skills or at the very least, not so alone.
